Ex- BBC specialists appearing at MPs

We begin with inquiries from Tory Member of Parliament Caroline Dinenage, that leads the group.

She initiates by providing context to the leaked document written by Michael Prescott and released in a national newspaper.

"It is not my wish for the British Broadcasting Corporation leaning this way or that way, I simply desire it neutral, unbiased and just," he says.

In response to a query if he believes the BBC is systematically partial, he answers: "No, I do not. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC does is world class - encompassing documentary and fictional programming."

However, he continues: "There exists real work that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

The second former external BBC adviser interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the BBC with great importance and that it maintains a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" across fluid and multifaceted issues.

"Was the BBC ready to conduct a thorough conversation and argument and implement changes?" she reflects. "In my view, yes they were."
