Throughout a commanding performance, England secured another triumph against Albania, with a number of players producing notable performances on the pitch.

Starting XI

The goalkeeper Not a save required during the opening 45 but then tested by an opponent's curling effort. His sliding challenge on an Albanian attacker demonstrated excellent reading of the game. Six out of ten

The debutant Challenged against the opposition's main danger in Hoxha. Operated more centrally initially later drifted wider once Saka came on. 7/10

John Stones Moved up the pitch on the ball, something he's known for before. On occasion lacked urgency when carrying play and the tactic abandoned by the interval. 6/10

The tall defender A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, typically, could serve as a replacement to his teammate in defense rather than his partner. A loose pass in the second half almost led to an opener from Albania. 6/10

The young full-back Another confident showing by the rising star after his debut versus Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on the opportunity from an exquisite touch over their defense. His position is his to lose already. 7

Adam Wharton His first start for his country. Slightly careless on the ball though his inswinging set-pieces posed a danger. A handy game manager available to the manager to utilize against defensive opponents. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed foul. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries from dead balls and free kicks caused problems. Had room to roam in left midfield yet found himself offside as the pass came in front of goal. Given a merited substitution on the hour mark. 6

The star midfielder Played in an advanced role on the right and also did plenty of defensive duties. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance but scuffed a shot wide. Withdrawn late on by a teammate, his competition, after being booked. Seven

The winger Was presented with the team's top opening before halftime, his strike excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate staying deep, he was forced to provide width out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline varied in quality. Substituted with 15 to go. 6/10

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring 77th and 78th goals at international level. His first a classic close-range tap-in and the second a superb header having drifted away from his marker. At 32, he continues to improve and England are strong contenders next summer with him up top. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a good opening when set up by Bellingham but the keeper kept it out. Rashford made much more of effect after coming on. 5
